In recent years, the number of people displaced by violence and persecution has dramatically increased, doubling worldwide. By the end of April 2024, the number surpassed 120 million displaced individuals, with 23 million in the Americas alone. Over 1,300,000 people have arrived in the United States as of August 2024, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, through various humanitarian programs designed to address the migration crisis. Many of these individuals belong to the LGBTQIA+ community, who often remain invisible, with restricted rights and facing extreme vulnerability.

Since 2021, America Diversa has been at the forefront, supporting LGBTQIA+ Latinx migrants with services that help them overcome the challenges of the migration process in New York City. Guided by our values and migrant experiences, we offer vital support to those in need.

Together, we can create a world where LGBTQIA+ Latinx asylum seekers and migrants are welcomed, safe, and empowered to contribute to the social progress of our community.
